The Senior Vote program arose in 2010 to educate California's Seniors about issues that directly affect them. CARA does not endorse candidates and is non-partisan.

In previous elections, 70% of voters over the age of 65 voted. CARA's education process connects active CARA members to undecided voters over 65 to discuss the impact of voting on senior programs and benefits. Our efforts cross party lines and address issues that affect all seniors, and to that end, we seek to inform all seniors. Examples of methods we use to educate and inform Seniors include phone banking, postcarding, creating candidate scorecards, and organizing town halls.
