Issues

CARA works on a variety of issues every year – at the state and national level, and locally too, through our CARA Action Teams (CATs). Every year at the CARA Convention, our delegates and members vote to prioritize our issues for the coming year.  We do our work in a variety of ways:  through educational forums, town hall events, rallies, direct meetings with key decision makers, press briefings, legislative and administrative advocacy, and electorally (we do not endorse candidates but we do take positions on some statewide ballot measures).
