UPCOMING 2021 FABULOUS FRIDAY FORUMS at NOON March 26th ・ April 23rd – May 14th – May 21st

CARA is continuing to offer our FABULOUS FORUMS on Fridays at NOON. By all accounts, these have been a huge success so far – Seniors and Medicare for All, Climate Justice, and a wonderful performance on brain health and empathy by Josh Kornbluth. Hundreds of CARA members, friends, and colleagues have joined us. All of our Forums are recorded (except for the Josh Kornbluth performance) and the materials presented are available on the CARA website under Issues/ 2021 Forums if you want to share them, re-view them, or download the materials.

Below are the upcoming Forums in March/April. You must register in advance for these events. You can register for one, two, or all of them – but you must register for each one individually. You will be sent a link for the Forum upon registration. Register for any and all forums below:

The CARA Education Fund will be offering our popular Leadership Academy workshop on How to Communicate with Elected Officials virtually on Zoom, led by CARA Board Members Tom Rankin and Hene Kelly. This popular, hands-on workshop will help us prepare for our statewide Lobby Day on May 21st and teach us how to best present our issues to all 120 California Assemblymembers and Senators.

This briefing is for everyone who has signed up to participate in one of the 120 legislative visits that CARA is coordinating on May 21st as part of our statewide virtual lobby day. We will review the bills that CARA will be presenting, the best format for your meetings, and answer any last minute questions you have before our event on the 21st. Even if you are not attending a legislative meeting, this is a chance to learn more about CARA’s priority bills for 2021.
