“CATs are also a way for people to build lifelong connections rooted in their values."

Many CAT members are active in their unions and community. We're able to get involved and create local-level change through our CAT members, including joining picket lines, phone banking for local ordinances, and improving pedestrian safety.

Members plan and organize alongside our coalition partners for actions and bring senior voices to rallies on intersectional issues.

CARA is the state body of the ARA (Alliance for Retired Americans), and each CAT has a delegate to the county's central labor council.

CARA is also able to bring our work to legislators in the district, with the aid of our members, who are constituents, to build relationships during recess and with their staffers at local offices.

CATs are also a way for people to build lifelong connections rooted in their values. Aging activists can find and connect with each other through CARA.
